Do you send an email to the address?
No. We only look up the domain and its mail servers, so the person never notices.
What does the check look at?
The format, whether the domain exists and accepts email, throwaway inboxes, team inboxes like info@, typos like gmial.com, and SPF and DMARC.
Can you tell if the mailbox itself exists?
Not for sure. Many mail servers refuse to say, and asking them too often gets you blocked, so we never guess.
Is it free?
