We are CoffeeNCoders, a small team that builds websites, online stores and apps. This page explains, in plain words, what we learn about you when you use this website or work with us, why we need it and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- When you write to us: the contact form sends us your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us: what you need, your budget, when you want to start, your current website, your message, any file you attach and, if you came from our pricing, the plan you picked.
- When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: your number or address and the messages you send. WhatsApp and your email provider handle those under their own privacy rules.
- When we work together: what the project needs: your contact details, the agreed quote, invoices, and the content, logins and files you share with us. On our client portal we also keep your account (name, email and a securely hashed password, never readable), your comments and the files you upload.
- Automatically: your IP address and browser type when you send a form, only to block spam.
What we do not do
- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
- We never sell your details or put them on marketing lists.
- We do not send newsletters you did not ask for.
How we use it
- To answer you, understand your project and send you a written quote.
- To design, build, test and support the work you hire us for.
- To keep a record of what we agreed and what we delivered.
- To keep the contact form free of spam.
Who can see it
Only the people on our team who work on your project. Messages and files are stored on our own server, and attachments sit in a private folder that only a logged-in team member can open. Our hosting company stores this data for us. We only hand it to anyone else when the law requires it.
Other services this website uses
To show its fonts and some technology logos, this website loads files from Google Fonts and Simple Icons. As with any website, those services see your IP address when your browser fetches the files. Links to WhatsApp and to the sites we built take you to those services, which follow their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: as long as we need them to answer you. Ask us and we delete them.
- Project records (quote, invoices, delivered work): as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
- Client portal accounts: until your project and its free support period end, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or ask us to delete them. Write to hello@coffeencoders.com and we will take care of it within 30 days. If we have to keep something by law, such as an invoice, we tell you what and why.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your details, we update this page and the date at the top.
